Dalatal Investment and Trading Company Limited (“Dalatal”, “we”, “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy of the people we work with. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect through dalatal.com, our forms (RFQ, tenders, investor inquiry, careers, contact), and during the course of doing business with you. Where contracted terms in a Master Service Agreement diverge from this policy, the MSA prevails for that client.

2. Data we collect

We collect the minimum data necessary to respond to your inquiry and operate the relationship. Specifically:

  • Contact details — name, role, organisation, email, phone.
  • Inquiry content — the goods, services, or capital you’re asking about and any attached documents.
  • Commercial data — for active clients, transaction records, delivery details, and invoicing data.
  • Technical data — basic web analytics (anonymised IP, browser type, pages viewed) for site improvement.

3. How we use data

We use your data to:

  • Respond to your inquiry and prepare proposals.
  • Execute contracted services — sourcing, logistics, delivery, invoicing.
  • Comply with regulatory, tax, and audit obligations.
  • Send you occasional updates if you have opted in (newsletter, brief).

We do not sell your data. We do not share it for third-party marketing.

4. Sharing & disclosure

Data is accessed only by Dalatal staff with a need to know, our regulated counterparties (banks, auditors, legal), and government bodies where compelled by law. Where investor inquiries are involved, access is restricted to leadership.

5. Retention

Active client and supplier records are retained for the duration of the relationship plus seven years for tax and audit. Inquiry-only data not converted to active business is held for 24 months, then deleted. Career applications are held for 12 months unless you ask us to delete sooner.

6. Security

We protect data through access controls, encrypted transmission for sensitive submissions, off-public-infrastructure storage for investor and tender data, and staff confidentiality undertakings.

7. Your rights

You can:

  • Ask what data we hold about you.
  • Correct any data that is inaccurate.
  • Ask for deletion, subject to our regulatory retention obligations.
  • Withdraw consent to newsletters and marketing communications at any time.

Requests should be sent to alaak.alaak@dalatal.com.

8. Cookies

The Dalatal website uses minimal cookies — essential for the site to function and basic analytics. See our Cookie Policy for the full list and how to disable them.
